Florihana’s process begins in the open fields of the Plateau de Caussols, where wild lavender is hand-harvested at peak bloom and brought to the distillery the very same day. Using a low-temperature distillation method developed by co-founder Alain Durante, the team distils gently at each plant’s optimal temperature to preserve its aromatic profile and botanical integrity, resulting in exceptionally pure, high-quality essential oils and hydrosols.
After distillation, the remaining plant material is reused as compost or animal feed, completing a circular, zero-waste process. Their creations meet leading European, Japanese and American organic standards, reflecting a commitment to purity, sustainability and deep respect for nature.
From Essence to Experience
Florihana began by producing raw materials such as essential oils and hydrosols for aromatherapy enthusiasts. As the company grew, so did its commitment to developing a complete skincare range. Each product is developed entirely in their own laboratory, using more than 50% certified organic ingredients and benefiting from full in-house control of quality and ingredient selection.
Rather than relying on plain water, Florihana formulates with their own hydrosols such as rose and chamomile, a signature of natural skincare formulation that enhances both purity and potency.
