For this organization, we are seeking a Quality Specialist based in Hoogeveen. Role Profile

Do you have an eye for detail and a passion for quality improvement? As a Quality Specialist at Miron Violetglass BV and Calaso BV, you are pivotal in safeguarding our product quality. You will inspect incoming glass packaging (bottles and jars up to approx. 2 litres) and components, and validate customer quality complaints. With your expertise, you help deliver high-quality glass solutions for international premium brands in the cosmetics and food sectors.


What will you do?

Incoming Goods Inspection
  • Perform visual and technical quality checks on glass packaging and components
  • Verify dimensions, tolerances, breakage, deformation, and surface defects
  • Review quality documentation such as certificates and test reports
  • Record deviations in the QMS and prepare Non-Conformity Reports (NCRs)
  • Coordinate with suppliers on root causes and follow-up for deviations
  • Approve or reject batches based on inspection results

Validation of Customer Complaints
  • Log and analyse complaints
  • Collaborate with account managers and customers on progress and solutions
  • Conduct or support root cause analyses (RCA) and sampling
  • Objectively validate complaints and prepare reports (including 8D reports)
  • Contribute to reducing recurring complaints

Monitoring & Improvement
  • Perform trend analyses and identify structural quality issues
  • Report quality KPIs such as defect rates and first-time-right
  • Provide input for supplier evaluations and improvement programmes
  • Propose process improvements across the quality chain


Requirements

  • An Associate/Bachelor’s degree in quality, process engineering, chemistry, materials science, or equivalent level
  • Experience in a quality role within the glass, packaging, or manufacturing industry
  • Knowledge of inspection criteria (e.g., GPI standards), measuring instruments, and quality documentation
  • Experience with QMS and basic knowledge of ISO 9001 or BRCGS Packaging Materials
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, solution-focused, and resilient under pressure
